True 4K — Not Upscaled
The CM831’s 8MP CMOS sensor delivers native 4K video at 30fps — a true resolution upgrade over 2MP sensors that pixel-bin to 1080p. The result is sharper facial features, crisper text on whiteboards, and more vivid color that holds up even when platforms downsample to 1080p for bandwidth reasons. If your device or platform doesn’t support 4K, the webcam automatically switches to smooth 1080P @ 60fps — no manual switching needed.
PDAF — The Fastest Webcam Autofocus Available
Unlike standard contrast-detect autofocus that takes over a second to lock, PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus) locks on in ≤0.3 seconds and tracks subjects accurately throughout — gesturing, leaning in, turning your head. No blurring mid-presentation, no waiting for the camera to catch up with you.
